Easter

by Nick Andrea

A One came
knowing
His true face
looked
like a multitude

Traveled from
town to town
speaking the
truth
“I AM,” said He. And from
that some

inspired some
angered most
not
understanding, it is

your
faith
that
makes
you
whole.

One entered
the heart of
chaos
bearing
one’s own
Heart of
true
love. The

polarity
intensified
“I come to bring war
not peace,” was said
war
on
the lack, thereof. One

gave it all
for
this world, the
“Embodiment of forgiveness,”
as it were.
What
does it mean
to give it all, one

bound
to
the clutches
of a
self,
concern, doubt, fear for a
one
to the
exclusion
of others? How

did we forget the
river
that moves through all things? So

hard with a
limited
a nervous
system to
see
as
the Christ
saw,

Forgive us
One, forgive
this wiring
that
holds
only
so
much charge

forgive us
and
maybe we, too
can forgive.
May be some
how some
day some
way beyond the
ideas of a
conditioned
intellectual
apparatus, may be
we’ll
forget
a
one
to
the
exclusion of
others. May be

this
limitation,
too,
will be
crucified,
and
conquer
itself
to

rise,
a phoenix-dove, and
see
another with the
eyes
of pure love.

It is
but
the twinkle of
hope for
one,
a twinkle of
hope
and
a
humble
prayer
of this one.
Amen.
