The Symphony

by Nick Andrea

I am at the symphony
tonight,
ten thousand
heavenly
bodies,
playing their
melodies
of Synchronicity,
Grand
unutterable

I am
taken
against my will;
blindsided,
innocent,
pleading;
A kitten
grabbed
by its mother,
when Arcturus utters
her
diddly
trill.

What can a
man
do
against
such
obliterating
beauty
as Venus
playing her
sexy
melody?

Clutches
of self
fail,
rupturing
violently
at the
strike
of the
Mars
chord!

Finally, thought
disappears,
melts
like ice
cubes
in the
summer
sun
when the Moon
brings home the
finale!

DUN DUN!

All that
remains of one
tiny
human being:

an empty vessel,
filled with what
words
fail utterly
to
capture.
