Here’s my theory: Life is but a dream. Death is the awakening from that dream. And, we do not have to die to awaken to this truth. We can do it within the dream.
If you’ve ever had a lucid dream, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Suddenly, you wake up within the dreamscape and realize it. Then, you can shape it how you like. You can fly, turn that scary monster into a cuddly little dog, go through a portal to another dimension where the colors shine with a brilliance you’ve never seen before. At some point I started to realize that the waking world was actually not different than the dream world, just a little denser; that my creative thought and belief had the power to shape it.
Now, skeptics might argue, “Ok, well then why don’t you go ahead and move a mountain?” Well, that takes a little more faith than I’ve heretofore had, though, I don’t doubt it’s possible. I’ve heard of many holy men and women doing just such things. So, I’m not discounting the possibility.
What has seemed more practical to me, however, is creating jobs, changing relationships, and altering my health for the better. In these cases, it was done unto me according to my belief, as Jesus suggests. This is the law of the land, and like Ernest Holmes of the Science of Mind says, “ignorance of this law excludes no person from its effects.”
So, life is a dream; what do you want? Just be careful what you vision for, you just might get it.
