Through fasting I’ve cleansed our body and become so healthy. I’ve done the work to overhaul my diet and now I can eat anything I want.
The paradox is I only want healthy food.
This is a great metaphor for freedom. We all want freedom of all kinds – spiritual, intellectual, economic, but do we have the responsibility to use it well? Are our preferences refined enough so as to bring health to ourselves and others?
We demand freedom, but freedom demands responsibility.
