I believe success is being a part of a continuous flow of money and resources from person to person, a river that brings nourishment and well-being to all without discrimination. On the contrary, it is not hoarding more than you need. When we dam up the river and try to control the flow out of our faithlessness, we create problems for ourselves.
Here’s the rub – we’re not in this life for ourselves. We’re part of a larger whole. This is what I have discovered through my experience. I posit that we are multi-layered beings, from the densest physical layer to the subtlest spiritual layer. At the highest level, we are a part of the Unified Field, also called Brahman, God, the Spirit that moves in all things, that which unites everything. It’s who we really are. That’s the conclusion I’ve drawn from countless experiences of synchronicity and the “one mind,” I’ve had with other people and things. It comes from knowing things I couldn’t have known with my sensory (physical) apparatus.’
But, how does this apply to the practical world? How does it apply to the world of business, for example? It applies in that we are one with others, so to hoard means to deny a part of ourselves what it needs.
The happiest people I’ve seen, whether rich or poor, are those who gave to others. Recall the story from the Bible, Mark 12: 42-43, where a poor widow gave all she had to the temple. She was in the flow.
But how could she give it all without concern for her next meal? One word: faith. That’s the key to the flow. What is the fruit of faith? Giving. And what is the fruit of giving? Receiving.
On the contrary, fear is the opposite of faith, and its fruit is the need to control. Haven’t you ever wondered why so many CEO’s acted in self-harmful ways, became addicts, even committed suicide? It’s because they tried to damn up a river that was too big for them.
So faith is the flow, the flow is faith, but this doesn’t have to be faith in any particular thing, just faith that you’ll be alright and that you’re not in this alone. It’s faith that God is in you and you are in God, no matter what. No matter what.
So be part of that river. Don’t dam it up. See yourself as another stop for money as it flows from one person to another, and that is success. You can do it. 🙂
